The Professor Paul Ananaba SAN-led Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) has appointed a 13-member Electoral Committee to spearhead the election of a new leadership for the section.
In a statement seen by CITY LAWYER, the NBA-SPIDEL Transition Committee named fiery rights lawyer, Mr. Kunle Edun SAN as Chairman of the committee. While Mr. Issa Aliyu Nasarawa, Chairman of the Northern Zone of NBA Litigation Committee, will act as Co-Chair, the immediate past Vice Chairman of NBA Lagos Branch Esther Jimoh has been appointed as the Secretary.
The Electoral Committee has been given the mandate "to oversee the conduct of the NBA-SPIDEL Elections scheduled to hold on Thursday, 4th December, 2025 at the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
Other members of the committee include A. J. Otah, Idris Abayomi Shehu, Aisha Mohammed, Christy Oluchukwu and Tiwalade Aderoju.
Others are Princess Lilian Eronini, Simple Dioha, Ofon Ime, Emmanuel Ugwuja, and Sosepreye Longwilliams.
It is recalled that the last Electoral Committee had erstwhile NBA Criminal Justice Reform member and NBA-SPIDEL Chairman, Mr. Emeka Nwadioke, as Chairman.
